The Super Eagle’s preparation for the African Cup of Nations 2025 have received a significant boost as the squad in Cairo, Egypt continues to grow.
Awaziem Chidozie and Fago Salim arrived at the team’s base on Tuesday morning, bringing the total number of players in camp to 24, the duo arrived just in time to participate in the final Tuesday morning training session before tonight’s high-stakes friendly match.
Following their arrival to Egypt, the squad had their first official training session at the Cairo International Stadium on Monday night. Couch Eric Chelle has been focused on tactical drills and player recovery as the squad enters the final phase of their pre-tournament build up.
The Nigerian Super Eagles are scheduled to face the Pharoahs of Egypt in an International friendly tonight. This match is seen as the ultimate litmus test before the team travels to Morocco for the AFCON tournament.
