Nigerian Afrobeat star Davido, has earned a massive payout after his prediction on the outcome of the Nigerias opening match at the 2025 African Cup of Nations worked out well as predicted by him.
The music star placed a wager on the Super Eagles team C clash against Tanzania in Fed Morocco, predicting that both teams would score in the fixture. His forecast proved accurate as Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory in the game over the Taifa Stars on Tuesday.
Reports indicates that the singer earned $96,564 (about N150 million in estimates) from the successful bet.
During the match, Nigeria dominated possession but fell behind early after Tanzania took the lead. The Nigerian super eagles struggled so hard back to level the scores before Ademola Lukeman’s late strike secured the win.
The victory strengthened, and secures the Super eagles position in Group C as they aim for a fourth AFCON title.The squad will now focus on their next group stage match to build on the opening day success.
