Pastor Okafor Chris opens up on divorce, allegations and custody battle, says; claims only came up after he remarried

 

 Pastor Okafor Chris, a senior pastor of Grace Nation Church, has spoken publicly about his past marriage, custody of his children, and the allegations currently trailing him.

According to the pastor, his divorce occurred when his children were very young. He said that one of his daughters was 2 years old as the time of the divorce, while his son Bobo was 4 years old at that time. Pastor Chris stated that the situation was so serious that the court granted him full custody of the children, while their mother was given access.

He also revealed that since the divorce, he raised the children alone for over a decade. He said Bobo is now 17 years old and will turn 18 by March, while his other child Chidera is now 15 years old.

The pastor explained that after the divorce, he made a personal promise to his children that he wouldn’t remarry until they were grown. He also said that he kept that promise for 13years, describing the period as difficult and filled with challenges, but insisted that he stayed true to his words.

Speaking on the controversy around his remarriage, Okafor claimed that none of the allegations being circulated today existed throughout the 13 years. He allegedly said that the accusations only started after he decided to start a new chapter of his life.

He further alleged that his former wife had openly vowed tarnish him and his church, insisting that she was angry about him moving on. According to him, the situation is a coordinated attempt to damage his reputation.

The pastor firmly denied all the accusations and allegations involving his daughter, stating clearly that there was no inappropriate thing that happened under his care. He maintained that if any such thing had happened, it would have been raised long ago and handled by law enforcement.

In an emotional moment, pastor Okafor called his children forward and asked them directly if he had ever been acting indecently towards them. He said they answered no, and that the accusations wasn’t true. He added that the ordeal has taken a heavy toll on him mentally and emotionally, noting that the past years have been extremely painful and difficult for him.
