Wizkid has opened up on the deep pain of losing his mother Jane Dolapo Balogun.
Jane passed out on the 18th of August 2023, till now the cause of her death hasn't been disclosed.
Ahead of Deceased woman funeral services, the family held a candle night procession in her honour.
On Thursday night, the singer WizKids family held a wake-keep to bid Jane Dolapo Balogun farewell.
Speaking at the event, WizKid expressed the pain he has been feeling ever since he lost his mom.
The singer said; "it is impossible for the pain to go away, and I am not going to say take away the pain, I pray that God will comfort us".
"I have no words to describe the pain that I feel. I know everyone in my family shares this thing with me. But I know that God in his infinite mercy, is going to.... I know how much pain I feel, and I'm not going to say take away the pain, but comfort us." He said.
"The pain is confound, the deepest pain I have ever felt in my life, it hurts deeply, I'm lost. But I pray that God will comfort all of us. And I just wanna say a very big thank you to everyone of us here today. I didn't even believe that I would be able to do this tonight, but I just wanna say a very big thank you to my sisters - sister yetunde, sister Lara, the family, my dad, brother segun, Aunty fausiat, my mum's brothers and sisters and uncle sanya and everybody". He said.
"I just feel bad, but God is going to comfort us all, and help us through this day, I just wanna say a very big thank you and God bless you all".
