The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Ahmed Yushau has issued a stern warning to
corp members about sharing camp activities on social media.During a visit to the NYSC orientation camp in EDE in Osun state, Yushau Ahmed alleged that posting camp activities on social media violates the scheme standing rules and policies.
He urged corp members maintain good character, principles, and discipline during the 3 weeks orientation exercise. The DG also advised them to stay focused and seriously take full advantage of the skill acquisition programme offered in the camp.
"The skills acquisition programme helps you to be financially independent, and not depending in white collar jobs", The DG alleged. " We are working with the stakeholders to make provision for grants so please take this opportunity seriously ".
Ahmed assured corps members of their safety and he also stated that they won't be sent to an unsafe location by camp officials. " Your safety is our priority, take precautions to stay safe". He also stated.
The DG also encouraged the corps members to maintain high standard of personal hygiene to avoid contracting diseases, and should be a go exemplary ambassadors of NYSC in any place they are posted to serve.
"We want you to be good ambassadors in anywhere you are posted in the country" . The DG concluded.
