There's no Vacuum in Nigeria leadership despite President and Vice being out of the country- Presidency reveals

The presidency has revealed that there's no vacuum in Nigeria leadership, despite President Tinubu, and his Vice Shettima being out of the country.

This comes in response, after journalists raised concerns about who is the one in charge of National affairs currently.

Mr Bayo Onanuaga, who is the special adviser to the president on Information and strategy, revealed in a statement that was released on Wednesday 16tg, October 2024. That the President and his Vice are fully engaged in the National affairs, despite being out of the country.

President Tinubu who left the country on 3rd October, in currently on a two weeks working vacation. Onanuaga emphasised that the President,continued to oversee national matters within this period of time. 

Onanuaga said; "within this period, the president has been answering phones, and giving directives on matters of state, an that he will soon be back before the official time for the vacation elapse."

Onanuaga also explained that the Vice President Shettima left to Sweden on an official visit. And since then everything has been moving smoothly as supposed, with key positions like the Senate President, Chief of staff, SGF, and ministers carrying out their responsibilities fully.

He also shared similar past situation, when former President Muhammadu Buhari, and his Vice were both out of the Country at the same time in 2022, when "Buhari attended UNGA 77, while Osinbajo was out for the burial of Queen Elizabeth II" he also revealed that same experience occurred within late April, and early May this year in this current administration.
