320 Stranded Nigerians migrating to Europe has been rescued from Libya.

 


Not less than 320 Nigerians who were stranded in Libya has been

rescued with the international organization for migration coordinating arranging moves to help return them to Nigeria.

Migrants from different countries in are Africa trying to reach Europe always flock to Libya, as Libya has become major point of departure.

Last year, Rival administration of Libya planned on a Tripoli anti-body in charge of deportation of foreign that intrude to Libya illegally.

"When carried out an expulsion on Tuesday last week at Mitiga Airport of about 163 Nigerian migrants which included over 107 women, 51 Men and 5 children." Migration head of security in Libya, Mohamed Bareeda told AFP.

In a move coordinated with the IOM, Mohamed Bareeda stated that "160 Nigerians will be sent back to their country through the Benina Airport in Benghazi, later on Tuesday 30 January 2024.

An AFP correspondent saw the first group at the Tripoli's Mitiga Airport early Tuesday where they were given a Laises passer before boarding shuttles to the plane.

According to the IOM it states that over 700,000 migrants are in Libya.

Controversial statements has it that Nigeria has the largest number of migrating citizens globally, and that Nigerians can be seen in any part of the world.

Where's most people believes that in Nigeria, the tribe that has the highest and largest number of people who migrate to other countries, either for business purposes, to work, or might be for sightseeing or Holiday purpose.
