Christiano Ronaldo has revealed the one goal that he wants to achieve before retiring from football playing.
Talking with Rio Ferdinand a former football player, in a new video on his YouTube channel, the Portugal super star stated his desires to reach 1000 goals, a feat only a few players has ever reached.
Ronaldo recorded 899th goals of his career at the Al-Nassr's win over Al-Feiha on Tuesday with a stunning shot, marking his 64th goals from free kicks.
Reflecting on his target, the 39 years old player said; "I feel good and I think I am still good looking, I think I can still jump, dribble, shoot, and still score goals".
" The day I feel like I am not giving or producing anything, I will pack my things and leave the football game, but as for now, I think it's still far from that day".
"First I wanna reach 900 goals, then I want to reach 1000, but with a difference, there will be a video of all the 1000 goals I scored, so that I can prove that I really scored them". Added Ronaldo with a cheeky claim about the lack of video proof of Romario's and Pele's goals.
Ronaldo also spoke out about the criticism he received for not scoring even a single goal at the 2024 European Championship.
The sticker added: I scored 60 goals last season. But people say. " Ah you did not even manage to score five goals in the European championship.
"so what? What's the problem? I have already scored 130 goals. I'm the greatest goal scorer in football of all times".
'But I will raise the bar even higher. Soon I will hit 900 goals, and then after that, I will reach up to 1000 goals, I want to reach that mark.
'How old will I be by the? Maybe 41, I don't know', claimed Ronaldo amid discussions of his retirement after he previously revealed plans of retirement.
