The Government of Enugu state, has inaugurated about four reconstructed, and newly constructed road projects in Abakpa Nike, including the newly renamed road,which was formerly known as Obinagu road now changed to Mike Ejeagha's road.
The road which leads to the residential house of the legendary singer,was rebuilt earlier this year as a recognition to his impact in the state's traditional and cultural heritage.
This was made known by a Facebook post made by the Governor of the state Peter Mbah on Monday 2nd September 2024.
''It was a pleasure to pay visit to our Living Legend Mr Mike Ejeagha, and also commission Four reconstructed and newly constructed roads in Abakpa Nike."
"In recognition to Mike Ejeagha's contribution to Enugu's cultural Heritage, we have renamed the road leading to his residence, which was rebuilt earlier this year, from Obinagu road to Mike Ejeagha's road."
"Enugu state is a state rich in talents, history and culture. It is our duty to celebrate and honour those who have shaped out identity. Today our government extends support for the legend, and takes full responsibility for his upkeep, as a commitment to preserving legacies of our indigenous legends."
