Aliko Dangote, Chief Executive officer of the Dangote Industries limited, has dropped hints on potential business Partnership with Grenada to enhance
the production of fertilisers, cements,and also petroleum products. He made the statement on Thursday when Dickon Mitchell, The prime minister of Grenada, paid a visit to the Dangote Petroleum Industry.Dickon Mitchell who is also the chairman of the Caribbean community, which is abbreviated as ('CC' or 'CARICOM'), a political and economic union of about 15 nations, and five associated country's throughout the Americas, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic ocean. Speaking after the tour, Dangote described the Grenada prime ministers visit as symbolic, noting that a lot of Caribbean countries, have started discovering crude oil in their land, and also exploring to build their own refineries in their land.
According to Dangote, the development would help the countries address the challenge of exporting crude oil, and paying at a high cost to import refined petroleum products. In his statement, Dangote said; "The visit shows that many countries are proud of what we have been able to achieve, because so many countries have been unable to deliver their various refineries, their pride is seeing a black person like them at the Caribbean, even though I am a Nigerian."
