Professor Wole Soyinka taunts Olusegun Obasanjo over his actions of disrespecting traditional rulers

 

Professor wole Soyinka taunts previous president Olusegun Obasanjo over his

actions to order traditional rulers to 'stand up and sit down'  at an event in Iseyin Oyo state.

Recall Obasanjo berated some Obas (traditional rulers) for not standing to honor him when he was called to the stage.

Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde, had invited the former Nigerian president to commission a project, but he was annoyed that the traditional rulers present didn't welcome him appropriately, leading to disrespecting them.

As the actions of Obasanjo has been an issue of national criticism, an insult to traditional rulers institutes and desecration to the Yoruba people, Soyinka joined Nigerians to slam his Egba kinsman in recent video

'My royal highnesses, I want to assure you that I am not about to yell at you to stand up and sit down this gathering is cultured' Soyinka said in the video.

Meanwhile the former president said that he stood by his actions, following the apology his estranged wife 'Taiwo' tendered on his behalf.

The issues degenerated that they had to call their self names in recent statementd.
