'I was part of first set in government college Lagos' - Tinubu not part of our set, Fola Adeniran-ogunsanya debunks claims of Tinubu being among their set.

Fola Adeniran-ogunsanya, a pioneer student of GCL government college Lagos,

and son of late Nigerian lawyer and politician, ogunsanya Adeniran (SAN), has reacted to claims that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended the school.

Ogunsanya who claimed to be among the first set in the school stated that for his four years in the school, he never met president Bola Tinubu.

This revelation from Ogunsanya about Tinubu comes amidst the controversies of the presidents academic records.

The presidential candidate of the PDP people's democratic party, Atiku Abubakar had requested for the accademic records of the president from CSU (Chicago State University) in other to appeal court ruling on presidential tribunal.

Ogunsanya in an interview with rifnote, said that Tinubu can not list people that he attended the school with if truly the president attended the government college Lagos.

Ogunsanya said;

 "It was last week that I learnt that Tinubu attended the government college Lagos , I called a couple of friends and said government college Lagos ke! 1970? that was what blew my mind. Government college Lagos was not established in 1970. It was established in 1974, I was part of the first set that attended government college, Lagos.

"I'm sorry to say that the president wasn't in our set. And for the next four years that I was there I didn't meet the president, otherwise I would have met him and known him Iam the pioneer set of government college Lagos. Eric Moore, Incase you want to know people that attended government college I  can blot out names of people that attended government college Lagos, can the president do that? Just asking, there was Solomon onwukwe, the shitta bays, semiu Ibrahim. "I can go on and on".

Ogunsanya while speaking on how his father brought government college Lagos as a commissioner of education during the time, said;

" The government college was set up in 1974, I would have gone to igbobi college or St. Gregory college but my father was telling me while he was there that he wouldn't open a school for Lagos indigens and his son would be going to a different school".

"How would that appear? When it was set up, I was among the first set that attended government college Lagos. There was government college Lagos, government college epe , government college Ikorodu, government college Ojo to one that is Lasu now. It used to be a government college then.
